Double-sided Table (ready-made assemblage)

The multiplication of structure within the reality of the three-dimensional object creates the illusion of other places possible to exist.   The convergence of the real and non-real, the familiarity with an everyday object and its usefulness, and the collapse of its functional ‘regularity’, transforms the Surrealist Object into a projection of a theatrical allegory; a duplication of meanings in a conceptual time and space. This sculptural form indicates a mystical interpretation, a symbolic significance rather than a functional usage.
